The region’s rich history is evidenced by physical and cultural reminders of its many rulers since it was first inhabited.
Ibla’s built and natural beauty abounds. Along with its cultural and culinary richness, it truly is a delightful place to see.

Our choice of accommodation in Ibla was an easy one. Set among historical buildings, this beautiful, boutique hotel Giardino sul Duomo has been sustainably developed and respectful of the local character.
Rooms are spacious, simply and tastefully decorated with most offering lovely views. A generous breakfast of top quality local specialties is served in the separate dining room or outside under the shade of the fruit trees overlooking the garden, pool and the views beyond.
Vantage points on the property provide stunning 180 degree views full of vistas near and far to capture on your canvas.
And not to mention the friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff and management... meraviglioso!

This rustic, historic location is a veritable feast for the eyes and has delighted and inspired many artists and creatives.
You can expect a unique, authentic experience here. There are no international fast food or retail outlets - for many, many miles around.
We subscribe to the off-the-beaten-track, slow travel model of experience; providing time for you to focus on painting and immersion into the local lifestyle. This encourages understanding of the local area and allows time for relationships with others here to flourish.
This is not an action packed, full agenda experience though there is plenty to do (or not do) if you choose.
The terrain is steep and not suitable for people with limited mobility and the accommodation is accessible only by stairs.
Special dietary requirements can be accommodated however some allergies may not be. We can discuss any specific allergy related requirements before accepting your booking to ensure your safety.
